Community guidelines
Last updated October 2026
audiotale.net is for people who build, learn and argue about technology in good faith. These rules apply in every community; each community can add its own on top.
1. Be kind, be constructive
Critique ideas, not people. No harassment, threats, hate based on identity, or pile-ons.
2. Show your work, cite your sources
Link primary sources. Quote briefly and link instead of pasting whole articles. Don't post things you don't have the rights to.
3. Label AI-generated content
Using AI is fine; hiding it isn't. Say when a post, comment or image was generated or heavily assisted by AI. Bulk-posting machine output gets removed.
4. No spam, no manipulation
No ads disguised as posts, no vote trading, no multiple accounts to boost yourself. Votes from brand-new accounts and repeated votes on one person don't count toward karma.
5. Keep people safe
Never share someone's private information. No sexual content, no content that endangers children, nothing illegal. If someone is at risk of harming themselves, report it so our staff can respond.
Reporting and moderation
Use Report on any post, comment, profile or community. Reports go to that community's moderators; serious ones go straight to site staff, and anything left unhandled for a day reaches staff too. When several established members report the same thing, it's hidden until a moderator decides. Every moderator action is logged (see each community's moderation log) and can be reversed.
Block and mute
Mute someone to stop seeing them. Block someone to also stop them replying to you or mentioning you. Manage both in Settings.
New accounts
To slow down spam, new accounts can post a few times a day at first, wait a day before posting images, and a few days before starting a community.
