The spam check (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs on sign-in and a few other forms to tell people from bots; Cloudflare processes technical signals for that purpose only.
Videos (free courses and some articles) play in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play; from then on, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to that video. The pictures you see before that are our own copies.
Anonymous page counts
If you allow it, your browser tells us “someone viewed this page”. We add one to a daily total for that page. On the first page of a visit it also says which site sent you (its name only, like “google.com”, never the full address) and any campaign tags in the link; on the search page, what was searched for. Each goes into a daily total. No cookie, no identifier, no IP address is stored. A Global Privacy Control signal counts as “no”.
