214 It’s Your Parents!

The scent of the porridge in front of her was making her hungry.

Fang Su Jin ate her breakfast slowly and noticed that Zhang Yi Hai pushed more food in her direction.

Looking at this scene made her embarrassed.

She was the eldest, but she was letting the younger boy look after her.

Fang Su Jin thought that this situation was quite silly.

“Why don’t you eat?” Zhang Yi Hai asked, noticing that she had suddenly stopped. “Is the food not good?”

Fang Su Jin quickly looked up. “No. It’s good. I was just thinking of something. That... Zhang Yi Hai, you’re not eating?”

“I already ate my breakfast earlier.”

“Oh.” She stared at the boy in front of her and thought that staying together with Zhang Yi Hai like this was a little awkward. Fang Su Jin lowered her head again and started to eat.

.....

Zhang Yi Hai sighed in relief when Fang Su Jin started to eat again.

Last night, he has been looking on the internet about how to look after a drunk person. He learned that a drunk person would usually have a hangover in the morning and decided to go out and buy some porridge for Fang Su Jin.

He was still worried that she would not be able to eat well. Seeing that she seemed to like the porridge made him heave with relief.

Fang Su Jin had just finished her porridge when the doorbell rang again.

The two of them exchanged a look. Then, Fang Su Jin stood up and announced, “It could be Teacher Jiang. I’ll go and get it.”

This was her room.

If Zhang Yi Hai appeared at her door, her teacher would definitely get scared.

Fang Su Jin peeked into the hole and halted.

The person who stood in front of her door was not her teacher as she had expected. Looking at the couple who had appeared at her door made her head turn blank.

At this moment, Zhang Yi Hai’s parents were standing at her door.

Fang Su Jin did not know how should she react to this situation. Should she open the door or pretend that she had died in the room?

The doorbell rang again, snapping her out of her trance.

“Sister Fang, what’s wrong?” Zhang Yi Hai walked over to her side when he noticed that Fang Su Jin has been acting a little strange. His expression turned darker at the thought that Mika had come over to harass Fang Su Jin again.

Fang Su Jin looked back at him in panic. “Zhang Yi Hai. It’s your parents!”

His movement halted. Zhang Yi Hai could not hide his shock upon hearing that the person who showed up at the door was no other than his parents.

He walked to the door and peeked into the hole.

But... what were his parents doing here?

Zhang Yi Hai recalled how his father had misunderstood him the last time he sent Fang Su Jin back to the hotel.

Last night, the doorman and a few other staff had seen him entering the hotel building carrying a woman in his arms. It did not take him a long time to figure out that the staff had misunderstood and the rumor had spread quickly until it reached his father’s ears.

Previously, his father had let his sister inquire about the rumor. But now that another rumor had come out, his father decided to show up, hoping that he would catch him in the act.

Zhang Yu Hai had a terrible headache.

He glanced at Fang Su Jin and wondered what she would think if she found out that his parents had misunderstood their relationship.

“Should we pretend that we are not here?” Fang Su Jin asked.

A few seconds later, she realized that there was a problem with her words.

She did not do anything that would make her feel guilty. Why would she want to hide from Zhang Yi Hai’s parents?

The doorbell rang for the third time.

Zhang Yi Hai was aware that it was impossible to pretend that they were not in the room. His father was the president of their hotel group. It would take him a phone call to figure out whether they were really in the room or not.

“Just open the door,” Zhang Yi Hai said with a sigh. It was better to face everything now before the misunderstanding deepened.

Fang Su Jin hesitated briefly. Then, she opened the door and came face to face with the Zhang couple. An awkward smile curled on her lips.

“Auntie, uncle, hello,” Fang Su Jin greeted. Her gaze met with Zhang Yi Hai’s mother. The older woman’s smile made her feel uncomfortable.

“Dad, Mom, why are you guys here?” Zhang Yi Hai spoke.

Hearing his son’s words made Zhang Yu Han unhappy. He gave the young boy a look over and narrowed his eyes dangerously. There were so many words that he wanted to say. But, Zhang Yu Han could only hold his anger.

Last night, he was still working on a few documents when someone called him to tell him that his son was taking a drunk woman back to the hotel.

The first time it happened could be a misunderstanding. Zhang Yu Han did not believe that the second time would be another misunderstanding as well.

Zhang Yu Han decided to book the first flight to Capital City with his wife and check whether the rumor was true or not.

Who would have thought that the moment he arrived, someone would report that his son was still in that girl’s room?

What’s more shocking was that both he and his wife were familiar with the girl! The receptionist revealed that the guest’s name was Fang Su Jin, their daughter’s best friend.

Fang Su Jin shivered, noticing the sudden drop in temperature. She let out a cough and stepped aside. “Auntie, Uncle, please, come in.”

Li Qin Yao tugged at her husband’s arms and spoke, “Hubby, let’s go in first and talk later, alright?”

Zhang Yu Han finally retracted his gaze and stepped inside the room.

Fang Su Jin had a complicated look on her face as she watched Zhang Yi Hai’s parents enter the room.

Yesterday, she was introduced to Zhang Yi Hai’s relatives. Now, she was sitting face to face with his parents. Fang Su Jin could not help thinking that this situation was indeed a little strange.
