details. “I remember Emma used to keep these stocked up for you,” he mentioned cautiously.

Alex's reaction was sharp, a mix of anger and longing in his volce. “Emma's not here, Collins. Focus on what's

important.”

At the hospital, as Collins helped Alex into the car, he reflected on how Emma's departure had shifted the

dynamics at work. “I should've been more attentive. This is on me,” Collins admitted guiltily.
